Value chain

The sustainability targets reported in this sustainability statement apply to our own operations and our upstream and downstream value chain.
Where we set targets for individual groups of products or services, markets or customer groups, this is specified. We do not set targets for specific geographical regions.

Our main inputs are milk and cheese, and other raw materials such as packaging, transport equipment and fuel.
Dairy farmers with cooperation agreements with Royal A-ware supply most of the milk for our dairy products. We also source milk and cheese from external suppliers.

Royal A-ware produces milk, yoghurt, mozzarella, milk powder, whipped cream, and different types of cheese: our outputs. These are primarily private label products for our customers in the food industry, food service and retail. While our main market is Europe, we have customers worldwide. Additionally, we specialise in the road transport of agricultural products, animal feed, chilled food products, and dry and liquid food products, with a focus on Northwestern Europe.

Sustainability pillars

Based on six pillars, we are constantly taking strategic measures to make our supply chains increasingly efficient and sustainable, so that all stakeholders benefit in the long term. Four of these – Greenhouse Gases, Product, Raw Materials and Dairy Farming – are closely linked to the links in our chain. The other two pillars – Employees and Respectful Collaboration – form the foundation and are essential for making our chains more efficient and sustainable.
